Mission Accomplished , Rogue Mission gets us our first winner for 2022.
ROGUE Mission opened account at the second time of asking in a ten-furlong novice event at Lingfield on Friday.
The son of El Kabeir was too green to do himself justice on debut three weeks ago but stepped up considerably on that effort to win under a power-packed Jack Mitchell.
He settled into a nice rhythm throughout the contest, tracking the odds-on favourite Addlingham.
Jack made a move to tackled the favourite around the final bend and the pair engaged in battle up the straight. It was neck and neck with 50 yards to run but it was Rogue Mission who wanted it more and stuck his neck out gamely to win by a short head.
Tom said: “The horses have been running well all week and that was a good performance. He is a laid back individual at home but he had really come on for his debut and we were hoping he would run a lot better today.
He is bred to get a trip and there should be plenty more to come from him
