REPEAT PERFORMANCE FROM ENCORE?

A relatively quiet week for Rogues Gallery Racing after the frantic January that saw us have plenty of runners and finish the month on 3 winners, well ahead of last year.

A highlight of the week could be the Peter Chapple-Hyam trained Newcastle specialist Rogue Encore who could be heading North again on Friday looking for course win number 4.

He has never left Gosforth Park empty handed.

Recent winner Rogue Rebellion also has a couple of entries looking to follow up, so plenty to keep us going.

AU REVOIR ET MERCI LAURA VANSKA

Trainer Laura Vanska based at Chantilly was the first venture into French racing for Rogues Gallery Racing, and what a success that proved to be. She expertly managed sprinter Rogue Enforcer and achieved a number of impressive victories in both France and Italy.

Laura is leaving the training ranks to take up a new opportunity with Godolphin. We wish her every success in her new career, and thank her for all she has done.

We are delighted to welcome Archie to the team as he takes charge of our multiple winning sprinter Rogue Enforcer.

JUSTICE IS SERVED

Win number 3 of the year for the Rogues as Rogue Justice returned from his break and delivered in convincing style at Chelmsford under a great ride from Hector Crouch.

This Jack Jones trained lightly raced son of Calyx relished every yard of the 2 mile trip and was not stopping at the line.

Still improving, it will be interesting to see where he goes next. Could be a dual purpose star of the future?

AN EARLY VALENTINE’S DAY FOR THE ROGUES

Well we did not have to wait long for win number 2 of the year as Penelope Valentine was victorious at Wolverhampton in very impressive style under a terrific ride from Luke Morris.

It was Luke who thought the step up in trip would suit this James Owen trained daughter of Blue Point, and he was not wrong. She delivered a career best performance and rewarded our patience with her 4th success.

HAPPY RETIREMENT ROGUE TORNADO

Rogue Tornado has been one of our most consistent horses ever and heads to retirement with the best wishes of his very grateful owners. They enjoyed some fantastic days out and plenty of prizemoney.

A very good looking son of Cracksman trained by James Owen, he finished in the frame on 14 of his 21 starts on the flat and never ran a bad race.

CAN WE CONQUER ANOTHER COUNTRY

Part of the record breaking year for Rogues Gallery Racing was the incredible achievement of having a winner in no less than 6 different countries.

We were victorious in England, Ireland, Wales, France, Italy and Scotland.

Can we now make it 7? Our exciting Houquetot, a 4yo by Wootton Bassett, has made the trip to Dubai where he looks to line up in a Group 2 at Meydan.

EXCITING ENTRY FOR ROGUE DIPLOMAT

Rogue Diplomat can safely claim the title of the Rogues Gallery Racing Horse Of The Year 2025. Victorious on 5 occasions, he improved with every run in the hands of James Owen and ended the season with 4 consecutive wins.

And remarkably, ridden on every occasion by Harry Davies.

A dual winner at Doncaster Racecourse, he has been entered in the William Hill Lincoln, the world famous Heritage Handicap, and we look forward to his return to Town Moor at the end of March kicking off the 2026 turf season.

A GREAT START FOR ROGUES GALLERY

It was a fantastic record breaking year for Rogues Gallery Racing in 2025 with 32 winners from 19 individual horses, an unequalled winning strike rate, and another big money sale with the proceeds returned to our owners.

That is all behind us now. Some big horses and big targets ahead this year, and we are off the mark for 2026 well ahead of last year with Rogue Rebellion rewarding our patience and delivering in style at Lingfield.
