Bred by the renowned breeders Airlie Stud whom bred the likes of 2000 Guineas winner Batchelor Duke & 1000 Guineas winner Petruska, this striking colt is by Kodiac who has sired 77 black type winners to date. He was a very attractive colt as a yearling, evidenced by his sale price fetching £80,000, he has been shrewdly acquired by the Rogues at the Craven Breeze up sale for just £42,000.
Rogue Lightening is the 2nd foal out of Field of Stars (Acclamation) who won her maiden by 6 lengths at Kempton, she looked to have a bright future being placed 2nd twice out of 4 runs, but was retired to stud due to an injury. Her 1st foal by Showcasing (£90,000 as a yearling) is in training in Ireland with Classic winning trainer Ger Lyons. Acclamation doesn’t really need an introduction being a proven multiple Gr1 sire with 140 stakes performers, he is the sire of multiple stallions, Equiano, Expert Eye, Aclaim, Dark Angel, Mehmas, Harbour Watch & the outstanding filly Marsha, also becoming a broodmare sire with the likes of Gr1 winner Broome & Gr2 winners Massaat & Rohan out of his daughters.
