Rogue Force the son of Iffraaj was given a strong ride by Jack Mitchell who got his mount home in the dying strides of the class 4 contest.
He was drawn wide in stall 11 and as a result, Jack settled him towards the rear of the field.
He travelled strongly and was still full of running when they fanned out on entering the straight.
When Jack asked his mount for maximun effort it took a couple of strides for Rogue Force to hit full stride. Once he did, he powered home to win by a short head.
Tom said: “Jack has given him a great ride. The step up to a mile has suited and he is a really lovely horse to have in the yard. He gives his all and has got the job done.”
He is now 3 wins from only 12 runs giving him an impressive 25% strike rate
